Forgotston: State employee rolls increase after hiring freezes

Crusty curmudgeon C.B. Forgotston says the hiring freezes instituted by Gov. Bobby Jindal since he took office are a "snow job."

Two hiring freezes have resulted in a net increase of state employees, Forgotston says. The number of state workers has risen by 4,202, or 4.2% since Jindal took office.
